One thing last year’s playoff run demonstrated is that TV analysts love intangibles, but talent wins. Each time someone constructed a storyline that called for us to lose – Arizona’s got momentum, Indianapolis has experience – the Saints demonstrated that superior talent was more important. We have that on offense, and even though TV analysts treated the turnovers the Saints’ defense created as a sort of extended mania or hot streak that can’t be reproduced for another season, it’s clear that it’s a coaching philosophy, and things can be done to increase the likelihood of turnovers.

Bottom line: The Saints are 2-0 while the Vikings, Cowboys and 49ers are 0-2.
