This week’s episode featured an interview with Tyron Benoit, a native of Houma, Louisiana, and brother to Cajun musician Tab Benoit. Tyron, a former Marine, actor, guitarist, keyboardist, accordion player, singer and songwriter, released his debut album, Waitin’ On Friday, on May 27, 2022. One of the tracks, “Keep It Together,” is heard at the conclusion of this interview.
The second half of the program features a conversation with Rex Marshall and Jean Preston, two members of the noire dream pop band Whisper Party! The duo will perform at the on Sunday, September 11, at Preservation Hall as part of the 5th *almost* Annual Music for Mental Health Benefit Concert. Preston is also a board-certified music therapist and Marshall is a sound engineer.
