This week’s episode featured an interview with Lou Hill, founding member of the soul-funk group Water Seed. The band is releasing a new EP combined with a comic book, all part of a project titled Sound of the Wasteland.
The second half of the program featured a conversation with Mahmoud Chouki, guitar player and multi-instrumentalist specializing in string instruments from North Africa and the Middle Eat. Chouki has been in New Orleans since 2017 and has played with a flurry of established figures since joining the scene.
