Michael Patrick Welch is once again hosting Noizefest – the alternative music festival pioneered by Keith “Deacon Johnson” Moore – the second Sunday of Jazz Fest. Here’s Welch’s call for Noizefest talent and help:

Keith “Deacon Johnson” Moore* would be proud (or else he’d be pissed; he loved being pissed)!
*NOIZEFEST 2009 *is the second Sunday of JazzFest. In the goat yard* 609 Lesseps St*. If anyone’s going to be out of town or working that day, please let us know!

We need DJs, solo and duo acts, and everything else!* anything except traditional *band *bands
unless you’re *noizy as fuck* (and can perform without a drum kit). You can also bring an instrument and play at some point without really getting on the stage and “performing.” Decide for yourself which you want to do!
