Drago’s famed charbroiled oysters are something of a delicacy in the New Orleans area, and with good reason: there’s no denying that they are delicious.
Now, it looks like the restaurant has teamed up with another Louisiana insistution, Zapp’s Potato Chips, to put out a brand new product that combines the best of both worlds.
Yes, that’s right. You will soon be able to eat Drago’s harbroiled oyster-flavored potato chip.
WGNO reports that the new flavor was approved three months ago after much trial and error. According to Dragos co-owner Klara Cvitanovich, the Drago’s team tried at least 25 different batches from the Gramercy, LA chippery before giving their approval, and no family secrets had to be given away.
Zapp’s new Drago’s charbroiled oyster potato chip will be available on April 18. The flavor will be sold in 1.5 oz and 5oz. bags.
