This weekend, the Ponderosa Stomp returns, this time to the Howlin’ Wolf. Stax great William Bell will be back as part of a Saturday night Stax tribute with Eddie Floyd, Otis Clay and Sir Mack Rice backed by the Bo-Keys. Last time Bell performed at the Stomp, he played “Private Number,” his hit with Judy Clay. Here he is playing the song live in 2000.

After we posted yesterday’s video, the Bo-Keys’ Scott Bomar sent us a link to a clip of William Bell with the Bo-Keys from this past June. Here they are performing “Easy Coming Out (Hard Going In)” and “You Don’t Miss Your Water.”
