Royal Teeth are the latest local band to garner national attention, pulling in fans with a version of danceable indie pop laden with vocal harmonies, rock guitars, and lots of electronic touches. At the end of April, the six-piece signed a deal with Dangerbird Records, a popular indie label with a roster that also includes Fitz and the Tantrums, Minus the Bear, and Silversun Pickups. The label remastered and re-released their debut EP Act Naturally, and are aiming for a full-length release by the end of the year. This video captures the six-person band playing “Wild” from the EP at Maison in New Orleans and City Bar in Lafayette.

Saturday, Royal Teeth celebrate their signing with a headlining show at House of Blues. Big History, Coyotes, and Mississippi Rail Company open, and tickets are $12 or $20 with a signed poster and copy of Act Naturally.
