Yesterday, bounce rapper Nicky da B released this new video for his club hit “Hot Potato Style” from Please Don’t Forget da B. It might be the first time another body part is showcased more than the ass in a bounce video—in this case Nicky’s mouth. Nicky’s quick-moving lips are edited onto scores of faces in a crazy collage of clips sampled from YouTube. No related video is safe, from Star Trek to Full Metal Jacket to homemade exercise, music, and instructional videos. James Brown’s miso soup commercials even make an appearance. The music video was created by Bob Weisz and Casey Coleman, who were responsible for the Big Freedia “Y’all Get Back Now” video, in which a giant Freedia and her dancers wreak havoc in New Orleans.
