Country singer/satirist/novelist/former gubernatorial candidate in Texas (pulling 12.6 percent of the vote) Kinky Friedman plays the Maple Leaf on Saturday night as part of his Southern Discomfort Tour. Friedman has always played on the borderline of taste, and here he is performing one of his best known songs, “They Ain’t Making Jews Like Jesus Anymore.”
