When New York-based rock band Interpol began, their similarity to Joy Division and the second generation of British punk was hard to overlook. Though the similarity has become less pronounced, the band’s music remains moody and obsessive. Recently, Interpol played Coachella, where a David Lynch film, “I Touch a Red Button Man,” played behind the band during a performance of “Lights.” Here it is. Interpol is at the House of Blues tonight with School of Seven Bells opening.
