Our March issue is now out and available around New Orleans, and features rapper Dee-1 on the cover. Dee’s profile has been rising since the release of his album David & Goliath (his real name is David Augustine) in 2009. His career especially took off when his track “Jay, 50, and Weezy”, which admonishes the three popular rappers for doing too little in support of their community, went viral in the hip-hop world.
