Monday through Wednesday between Jazz Fest weekends are never lacking for entertainment, and tonight is no different. One mid-week event that is becoming a new tradition is the Daze Between Festival at the Rusty Nail, now in its third year. The festival takes place all day today, starting at 3 p.m. This year’s theme is a musical tribute to the Grateful Dead, and will feature two stages and a lineup that includes headliners Papa Mali and Friends and the Honey Island Swamp Band. Tickets are $25 and available at the door.
In addition to the music, there will also be local crafts for sale and food vendors with barbecue from McClure’s Barbecue, fish tacos from Woody’s Tacos, boiled crawfish, and raw or grilled oysters. NOLA Brewing will have a beer garden set up in the Rusty Nail’s patio as well. Proceeds from the festival will be donated to the Gulf Restoration Network.
