Jan Ramsey started OffBeat Magazine and its associated entities over three decades ago as an effort to improve and expand local music culture and business. Known for her scathing “Mojo Mouth” essays, Jan has been a music activist since the early 1980s. She will be undergoing treatment to battle this rare form of lung cancer. All funds from the show go to Jan and her husband to offset healthcare costs and family living during this difficult time.
Admission is based on donation. You can donate in advance to Jan’s GoFundMe here. Tipitina’s is located at 501 Napoleon Avenue.
