Xavier University of Louisiana will host a music business seminar sponsored by New Orleans’ Water Seed Music Group on April 20.
“These seminars are very important to encourage, educate and expose students to the business aspect of their careers in a troubled industry,” said Water Seed’s Lou Hill, who hosts those seminars every semester at Xavier.
This year’s seminar will have a panel of music business professionals, which includes producers Reid Wick of The Recording Academy and Scott Billington of Rounder Records, as well as recording artists Eric Cager of the Cutting Edge Music Conference, and Lilli Lewis of Louisiana Red Hot Records.
The event is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Xavier University Music Building and Recital Hall at 12 p.m.
