WYES, the oldest public television station in the region who recently hosted a series of music specials during Jazz Fest this year, has unveiled the theme for this year’s annual gala – “Once Upon A Time In New Orleans.” The gala will occur on Thursday, September 14, at the WYES-TV Studio on Navarre Avenue.
The evening will commence with the Patron Party, starting at 7:00 p.m, with tickets priced at $500 per person. Following at 8:00 p.m. is the gala and tickets at $200 per person, with reduced rates for attendees aged 21 to 40.
Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire, with the option to incorporate themed costumes inspired by local icons like Morgus the Magnificent, Seymore D. Fair, Fats Domino, Mr. Bingle, Chef Paul Prudhomme, Chris Owens and K&B purple.
The WYES gala features an open bar featuring Monkey Shoulder Scotch and Hendrick’s Gin, including a Sazerac cocktail by Diamonds Direct and Mama’s Place. The Windsor Court will provide culinary offerings and live entertainment from The Party Starters 504 Band.
