Our friends at WWOZ, who have won OffBeat’s Best of The Beat Best Radio Station Award so many times we can’t count them all, are still celebrating their 40th anniversary of broadcasting music from the New Orleans community.

Now through 7 p.m. tonight (December 4), listeners across the city and the world can listen to birthday messages filled with stories, memories, and songs from over 60 different WWOZ show hosts.
