The New Orleans Advocate reported this afternoon that Tipitina’s allegedly has changed hands and has been sold to members of Galactic, the seminal New Orleans funk band.

Reportedly, members of the band have bought the legendary music club (the business, not the Tipitina’s Foundation) from businessman Roland von Kurnatowski, who is facing several lawsuits related to other business ventures. Stanton Moore, Galactic drummer, declined to comment this afternoon. Details to follow.
