Adam Shipley, a veteran of the New Orleans music scene for the past 17 years, in now managing Walter “Wolfman” Washington and the Roadmasters. “It’s hard to believe,” said Shipley, “but Walter’s been playing in New Orleans for about 50 years, and he’s been with his current band, the Roadmasters, for 28 years. We’re going to get him on the road more, especially in Europe.”

Shipley and his company, Hep Cat Entertainment, manages the Soul Rebels, books the music for Hogs For the Cause, and the Wednesdays on the Point series in Algiers.

A little-known fact: Wolfman is Ernie K-Doe’s first cousin. He currently plays d.b.a. every Wednesday and also every Sunday with Joe Krown and Russell Batiste at the Maple Leaf.
