Wizard Fest, a Harry Potter themed event, is coming to New Orleans on Nov. 5. The event includes wizard themed drink specials, trivia, quidditch pong, a mystery egg hunt for cash prizes, a cosplay costume contest and, best of all, the grand prize giveaway, a trip for two to London, England. 

Since the event’s inception, Wizard Fest has been growing in popularity, with  the event selling out in New York, Chicago and Dallas. “Wizard Fest started as an idea in 2016 where we thought about transforming venues into castles with decorations, light shows, themed cocktails and incorporating all things magic into a dance party,” said party founder John Damiano. “We all love the Harry Potter universe and incorporating that aspect was so much fun. Before we knew it we had sold out parties across the country. There is something for everyone…whether you like to dance, you’re into magic or just love Harry Potter.”

Wizard Fest specialty cocktails include Butterbeer, Fire Whisky, Polyjuice Potion and Unicorn Blood. A DJ will play hits from the 90s, 2000s and music from the movies throughout the night. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of both the costume contest and the Quidditch Pong Tournament.
