For two days, the 2018 Westbank Heritage Festival returns to Westwego at the Alario Center with a lineup starring local and national talents.
Raheem DeVaughn, Juvenile, Donell Jones, Partners-N-Crime, Amanda Shaw, Shamarr Allen, Denisia, Tucka and DJ Captain Charles are confirmed performers for this year’s festival, which will be hosted by Downtown Lesli Brown and Gralen Banks. But wait…there’s more! Click here to see the full lineup. Covering a variety of genres from R&B to bounce to Cajun and zydeco, this year’s Westbank Heritage Fest takes place October 13 and 14. In addition to music, attendees can expect a ton of food vendors serving up everything from fried ribs to sno balls and more.
“We’re extremely excited to announce the incredibly talented and diverse group of artists that round out this year’s festival lineup,” said Sharlyane Prevost, Westbank Heritage Festival organizer. “Our festival is truly unique. Not only does it provide opportunities for local Westbank businesses, but it also provides an opportunity for people to come out see a lot of these artists, who would otherwise be very expensive, free of charge. We encourage children and adults of all ages to come out, enjoy the free festival and see all of this year’s exciting new additions.”
Founded in 2015, the Westbank Heritage Festival provides opportunities for area businesses and talent from Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.
