This summer, Rebirth, Johnny Sansone, Bonerama, The Write Brothers, and more will head across the river to the 2015 Wednesdays on the Point concert series in Algiers.

The eight week summer concert series will take place every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from June 10 through July 29.

Last year, the event hosted more than 20,000 attendees over the eight week run.

“The mission of Wednesdays on the Point is to amplify customer traffic to Algiers Point businesses during the summer months and boost ferry ridership,” Derrick Martin, Executive Director of the Algiers Economic Development Foundation, said in a press release. “This event also allows us to showcase our historic architecture and small town charm while enjoying the best of view of the city.”

Here’s the lineup for 2015. DJ Rik Ducci will open all shows.

June 10 –  Rebirth Brass Band

June 17 – Johnny Sansone with Big Chief Monk Boudreaux

June 24 – Chubby Carrier Bayou Swamp Band

July 1 – Jon Cleary with special guest Walter “Wolfman” Washington

July 8 – Bonerama

July 15 – The Write Brothers

July 22 – Bag Of Donuts

July 129 – Amanda Shaw + The Vettes

All shows are free and Open to the Public.  No outside food or beverages allowed.
