The Youth Leadership Council has announced the acts for its annual Wednesday at the Square spring concert series.
Slated for each Wednesday evening between March 2 and May 18, the 12-week series will feature free performances from a wide variety of local artists. Scheduled acts include Kermit Ruffins, Anders Osborne, Tab Benoit, The Soul Rebels, Cyril Neville’s Royal Southern Brotherhood, Bonerama, Amanda Shaw, Honey Island Swamp Band and many more.
Interestingly, Wednesday at the Square’s final show on May 18 is currently billed as “Very Exciting Closing Act TBA.”
While the series is free and open to the public, there are also a number of vendors on site. Fans that would like to avoid the vendor lines on the day of the show can order their food and drink tickets online now.
Proceeds from the event go to the Young Leadership Council, a non-profit that builds leaders through community service projects.
