Recently, Trombone Shorty and his band Orleans Avenue traveled to the NPR’s All Things Considered offices to record a 13-minute performance for the program’s Tiny Desk Concert series, in which bands play in one of ATC’s tiny, cramped (read: standard media) rooms. The band performed raw versions of three tracks—”Dumaine St.”, “Lagniappe”, and the single “Do to Me”—from new album For True, which has quickly reached the top spot on the Billboard contemporary jazz chart.
