Percussionist Bill Summers was one of the founding members of the Headhunters, the funky group led by Herbie Hancock that changed the course of music in the 70s. New Orleans saxophone legend Donald Harrison, Jr. later joined the band in its later forms along with original member Mike Clark, and helped bring in New Orleans talent pianist Kyle Roussel and bassist Chris Severin.
The new iteration of the legendary unit released an album in 2022 called “Speakers in the House”
