The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has cancelled its final day due to dangerous weather conditions. A statement from the festival reads:
Due to dangerous weather conditions including forecasted persistent rain and flash flood warnings for Orleans Parish for Sunday, November 1, the final day of the 2015 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has been cancelled. Fan safety is the top priority for the producers of the festival and current conditions at City Park do not meet our standards for maintaining a safe experience.
Thousands of fans braved the wind, rain and mud to see Ozzy Osbourne, Jane’s Addiction, Steve Angello, Lettuce, Santigold and many more on Saturday. However, it appears as though conditions were poor enough to warrant calling off the festival’s final day.
While Voodoo is normally a no refund event, the festival’s producers have announced that they will make refunds available this year on account of the severe weather. Three-day credential holders will receive 1/3 of the posted price at the time of purchase, and single day Sunday ticket holders will receive a full refund. More information on refunds can be found via Voodoo’s website.
