Vintage Rock Club announced the debut of a set of four special event series, beginning with “School’s Out for Summer,”a night dedicated to the classic 1970s film, Dazed and Confused. “School’s Out for Summer” kicks off Saturday, May 18 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and is the first of three more nights featuring drinking and dancing to old school popular culture.
Known for late ’60s classics, ’70s and ’80s famous band hits and early 90s rock, Vintage Rock Club (1007 Poydras St.) is New Orleans’ first throwback bar and video music experience venue. Guests can experience eye-catching old music videos, concert footage and iconic movie clips on a 185-inch video wall and large TV screens throughout the venue. The luxury entertainment club brings people into the world of the past and feels like a live concert up close and personal.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best mid-70s attire for the ‘end-of-the-year’ celebration party! Vintage style, rock ‘n’ roll music and overall partying is the theme of the night and will throw everyone back into the good days of summer vacation. Tickets for “School’s Out for Summer” (inspired by the Alice Cooper anthem of the same name) are available for purchase today here, $15 in advance or $20 at the doors.
All proceeds from the event’s ticket sales will benefit local non-profit Team Gleason, a charitable 501c3 non-profit organization striving to help provide individuals with neuromuscular diseases and injuries with leading-edge technology, equipment and services. They also are looking to create a global conversation about ALS and to find continued solutions and ultimately, an end to the disease. They raise public awareness towards ALS by providing life adventures for people with muscular diseases or injuries. All upcoming events for the party series will support additional charitable organizations in New Orleans.
The venue is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and is available for private event or party rentals seven days a week. More information about this can be found here.
