The Shotgun Jazz Band took to the Red Beans and Ricely Yours stage at Satchmo SummerFest 2014 for an afternoon showcase in Dixieland blues.

Singer Marla Dixon seemed surprised when the crowd in the packed tent reacted so favorably to the sad songs the band was playing.

“Y’all like the heartbreak songs,” she said with a laugh. “I see what’s going on.”
