In New Orleans, sometimes even our traffic jams are better than anywhere else in the world. That can certainly be said about the minor backup along Esplanade Avenue this Bloody Sunday session with the Del McCoury Band caused.
Something tells me no one behind this horse drawn carriage was complaining – certainly no one with their windows down. More than a few people had to wonder how they fit a five piece band that included an upright bass into that carriage, but that’s the magic of the Bloody Sunday Sessions.
McCoury, who has been inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, takes it all in stride as he cruises through New Orleans. Can you blame him?
