Family Guy has made a few jokes about New Orleans over the years. They even built a whole episode—”Cool Hand Peter”—around the Crescent City back in 2011. 

The long-running Fox cartoon got another one in this past Sunday, and this time the subject was brass band parades. In typical Family Guy fashion, the setup was essentially a non-sequitur that added nothing to the plot. Obviously the show was poking fun at a New Orleans tradition, but at least they eventually conclude that parades are too fun to be a nuisance.
