The summer “Foundation Free Fridays” concert series continues at Tipitina’s tonight with Daria & the Hip Drops opening for funky-good-timers Flow Tribe. In this video, the Tribe play their Spanish-inflected tune “Black Mamba” from 2010’s Now Ya Know. With acoustic guitar, mandolin, and djembe, they perform the song at the infamous “Tree of Life” in Audubon Park.
Doors for tonight’s concert open at 9 p.m., with the show starting at 10. As with every Free Friday throughout the summer, there’s no cover. Next week’s concert features Brass-A-Holics opening for Walter “Wolfman” Washington.
