Any fan of New Orleans music will tell you that brass veterans The Soul Rebels know how to keep it dirty. It’s just that they usually don’t keep it this kind of dirty.
While performing at Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club last Thursday, the group was joined by stand up comedian Ralphie May. The popular comic, who is best known for his various Comedy Central specials and his appearance on Last Comic Standing, introduced the band at the beginning of their show before joining them later in the night for a “stripped down” cover of Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do).”
