Johnny Vidacovich was honored with the Best of the Beat’s Lifetime Achievement in Music during a ceremony at the Orpheum Theater last night. Before he took the stage to accept his award, we screened a short documentary on his music career. The video—which also features Vidacovich, James Singleton, Stanton Moore, George Porter Jr. and Ernie Elly—focuses on his early years, as well as his time with Astral Project.
