The newest addition to New Orleans’ craft beer scene, Urban South Brewery, will host a one-day festival on Saturday, May 28.
Summerfest, as the event is billed, will bring music, food and special release beers to the brewery, which is located at 1645 Tchoupitoulas Street. Performers include the Pine Leaf Boys, Andrew Duhon, Shotgun Double and Kristin Myers.
The free festival will kick off at 11am and close out at 9pm. The event also promises to be kid and dog friendly.
Opened in March of 2016, Urban South is now the fifth brewery to set up shop in the Crescent Cty. The establishment currently offers a white ale called Charming Wit and an IPA called Holy Roller, though a few seasonal beers and an ale known as Coop’d Up are currently in the works. The tap room is also open to the public on Thrusday-Sunday.
