Umphrey’s McGee will return to New Orleans when they headline the Orpheum Theater on Friday, April 21. Big Something will open the night.

The progressive rock jam band took the stage in the Crescent City around the same time last year, when they took over the Joy Theater with support from Tauk. We had a chat with bassist Ryan Stasik ahead of that show, during which he proclaimed his love for New Orleans and Jazz Fest

Last year’s New Orleans gig saw Umphrey’s McGee team up with the horn section of Ryan Zoidis and Eric “Benny” Bloom, though no such guests are confirmed for their next appearance. The concert will be one of numerous stops on the band’s spring tour.

Tickets for Umphrey’s McGee at the Orpheum Theater will go on sale Friday, January 13 at 10am.
