Considering the affection people had for Coco Robicheaux, it’s no surprise that there is not one but two events planned to remember the late bluesman who died Friday night. A service is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at Marie’s Bar (2483 Burgundy St.) that will be followed by a second line to the Apple Barrel.
On Monday, December 12, a procession will start on Frenchmen Street at 3:30 p.m. and work its way through the French Quarter to House of Blues, where there will be a night of music in his memory starting at 6 p.m.
We have yet to hear anything about his burial, but we’ll update this when we know more.
