Tuba Skinny, the traditional jazz street band from New Orleans, will deliver a live performance at d.b.a on Saturday, May 27, at 6 p.m.

Known for their authentic sound inspired by the jazz, ragtime, and blues music of the 1920s and 1930s, Tuba Skinny has gained a loyal following over the years. The band’s lineup includes cornet, clarinet, trombone, tuba, tenor banjo, guitar, frottoir, and vocals.Having started as a busking band, Tuba Skinny has performed at various music festivals worldwide, including in Mexico, Sweden, Australia, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Spain.

With over 500 videos available on platforms like YouTube, Tuba Skinny has amassed an impressive online following. Many of these videos have garnered over 100,000 views and are available in various languages, highlighting the band’s broad appeal and global reach. Interestingly, the ensemble does not have an official YouTube page, and fans primarily create and share their recorded footage.
