Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews will return to the White House this Wednesday for a special performance. The popular musician, who attend the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, will join Queen Latifah, Usher, Smokey Robinson, James Taylor, Audra McDonald and more for a celebration of the arts.
Billboard reports that the event–hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama–will mark the 50th anniversary of the legislation that created the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The show will be taped for the next installment of the “In Performance at the White House” series, which is is slated to air online and on PBS stations in January.
