At the 5th Annual Treme Threauxdown, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will be joined by megawatt talent.
Today (April 1), it was announced that GRAMMY-winning reggae superstar Shaggy and GRAMMY-winning soul singer Anthony Hamlton will join Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue at this year’s Treme Threauxdown, which takes place Saturday, April 27 (during the opening weekend of the 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival). The Saenger Theatre will host the event, which sold out last year.
“The Treme, it’s like no other place in the city,” Shorty continued. “It’s changing, but it’s still a beautiful place. When we play our music at the Saenger each April, you can feel the spirit, you can feel the love. You can feel where it all came from: the Treme.”
Tickets for the 5th Annual Treme Threauxdown are on sale now at the Saenger Theatre Box Office, ticketmaster.com, LiveNation.com or by calling 800-745-3000. The box office, located at 1111 Canal St., is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Additional guest stars will be announced in the coming weeks, and as in years past the 2019 show will include surprise appearances.
