New Orleans’ popular music venue, Tipitina’s, will host a special event in honor of drum and percussion manufacturer Avedis Zildjian Company’s 400th anniversary on May 2 (Zildjian has been in existence since 1623!). To commemorate the milestone, Zildjian-sponsored musicians, including Dennis Chambers, Stanton Moore, Doug Belote and more, will perform at the matinee celebration between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. The “House Band” for the event will consist of many familiar faces at OffBeat such as: Ivan Neville, Eric Krasno, Tony Hall, Ari Teitel, Brad Walker, John Michael Bradford as well as Joe Ashlar.
Tickets will be available beginning April 7 at 10 a.m. CT on Tipitina’s website and box office, with prices starting at $25. A venue presale will be available for a limited time from April 5 at 10 a.m. CT, with ticket buyers using access code CYMBAL23 at checkout to take advantage of the offer.
