When Tipitina’s announced it’s annual Foundation Free Fridays lineup back in May, the schedule included a few “to-be-decided” slots.
Now it looks like the iconic New Orleans venue has unveiled the details regarding those previously unconfirmed shows, which include some Free Fridays favorites.
On July 8, Tipitina’s will host Mike Dillon, Funk Monkey on Sexual Thunder. The following weekend, July 15, the venue will welcome Papa Mali and Colin Lake.
August 5 will see the return of the Iko Allstars, a local tribute to the Grateful Band. This incarnation of the band will feature longtime frontman Billy Iuso, as well as Papa Mali, Reggie Scanlan, CR Gruver, Johnny Vidacovich and Michael Fouquier.
August 12 will be something of an Americana night, as Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, Hill Country Hounds and Idlewild String Confederation take the stage.
As its name suggest, Foundation Free Fridays shows are free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first serve.
