Direct Relief’s work earns wide recognition from independent charity rating agencies and watchdogs, including a 100 percent fundraising efficiency rating from Forbes, a place on Charity Navigator’s list of the “10 Best Charities Everyone’s Heard Of,” and inclusion in Fast Company’s list of “the world’s most innovative nonprofits.”
Flow Tribe is a funk rock band based in New Orleans founded in 2004. All six members are natives of the city. Founded in 2004, the band solidified in the wake of Hurricane Katrina’s destruction with the mission to bring the next generation of the New Orleans’ sound of unstoppable rhythm and passion to the world. The next 15 years would find Flow Tribe performing over 120 shows a year crossing the country multiple times from the biggest festival stages. The band recently released their new single, “Keep Pushing,” featuring Ivan Neville.
Soul Brass Band is exactly what it needs to be: a great New Orleans brass band steeped in tradition that sets the mood for a party. Frequently called upon to lead second line parades, frontman Derrick Freeman is a veteran player of such bands as Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, Coolbone, Mass Hysteria, All That and Crönk.
Tony Hall is an American bassist, guitarist and vocalist from New Orleans. He is a founding member of Dumpstaphunk. His work includes affiliation with New Orleans artists Harry Connick Jr., Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, Aaron Neville, Jean Knight, June Yamagishi, Shannon McNally and the Meters.
Tipitina’s is one of New Orleans’ most iconic music venues of all time. Started in 1977 by a group of young music lovers, Tipitina’s has stood the test of time as one of the premier clubs in the country by featuring some of the most celebrated musicians not just from New Orleans, but from around the globe.
