Concerts in the Courtyard, an ongoing music series presented by The Historic New Orleans Collection, returns for its ninth year on Friday, September 16, featuring a performance from Walter “Wolfmann” Washington and the Roadmasters.
The Roadmasters, who have been nationally touring since the 1980s, combine diverse musical elements and genres, such as rhythm and blues, New Orleans funk, and modern jazz into one unique and electrifying sound, which promises to deliver a little church and a lot of New Orleans charm.
The fall series continues with performances by The Tumbling Wheels (Friday, Oct.21st) and the Colin Lake Band (Friday, November 18). Admission for each concert is $10, but free for THNOC members, with memberships starting at $35.
All concerts are held at 533 Royal St. in the French Quarter from 6-8 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Each show will also feature a wine and craft beer bar, and includes three beverage with the price of admission.
