After a three year hiatus, Winter Circle Productions and the Joy Theater are relaunching their successful This is NOLA series. Seeking to highlight the contemporary culture of The Big Easy, the multi-media event will feature the sounds, film, visual art, and food found in the city on November 10.
The free, all-ages event will be hosted by Dan Stein, owner of Stein’s Deli, and is set to include live performances by Stoop Kids, Roar!, Sexy Dex & The Fresh, and DJ Kathi, in addition to featuring live visual art courtesy of artists Shelby Stoor and Maddie Stratton. The evening’s attendees will be able to enjoy nibbling on street food-inspired goodies from Old School Eats and La Cubana food trucks before washing it down with responsibly sourced cold brew courtesy of French Truck Coffee.
This is NOLA originally launched in 2013 as a bi-monthly celebration of the culture that makes the city so uniquely diverse. Past performers include Tank and the Bangas, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and Boyfriend. The highly-anticipated event takes place November 10 at 8pm at the Joy Theater (1200 Canal Street).
