The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell announced this morning that The Rolling Stones will headline Jazz Fest on Thursday, May 2 in their only festival appearance on their brand new tour titled, Stones Tour ’24 Hackney Diamonds. Tickets and VIP packages go on sale on December 1, and November 29 and 30 is a pre-sale opportunity only for Louisiana Residents. Formed in 1962, the Rolling Stones are one of the most influential and enduring bands in the history of rock and roll. Their new album, Hackney Diamonds, features their first original material in almost 20 years and has reached #1 in more than 18 countries. Fans can expect to experience the band to play their most popular hits ranging from “Start Me Up,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Satisfaction” and more, as well as fan favorite deep cuts and music from their new album Hackney Diamonds. The legendary rockers will be returning to the road following the success of this history-making and chart-topping studio album, which just received a Grammy nomination for the project’s lead single “Angry.”
“‘The Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest is a long held prophecy coming true. The Festival thanks Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Concerts West, for their steadfast dedication to making this once-in-a-lifetime Jazz Fest magic. The pilgrimage starts today, come get satisfied,” said Quint Davis, Producer/Director of Jazz Fest.
The 2024 Jazz Fest is scheduled for April 25–28 and May 2–5, and will return to an eight-day run, with Thursday April 25 being “Local’s Day.” The Rolling Stones will headline Thursday, May 2, which will require the purchase of a second weekend 4-day wristband or a day-specific ticket (pending availability). May 2 will have a limited capacity and tickets are expected to sell quickly.
