The Hookah Cafe, once a stalwart of Frenchmen Street until it was quickly forced to shutter its windows this spring, just reopened a couple weeks ago at a brand new location in the French Quarter, at 309 Decatur St. The club, now called just The Hookah, is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, which had to be completely remodeled from scratch. Below are photos from the past 2 months of the renovation process, from unfinished, raw wooden seats to polished, back-lit bars. Take a behind-the-scenes look at what went into the rebuilding of The Hookah.
