The Ozone Music Foundation announced that John Oates will headline this year’s highly anticipated Ozone Songwriter Showcase. Set to take place on October 25, 2024, at the Fuhrmann Auditorium in Covington, Louisiana, the event promises “An Evening of Songs and Stories with John Oates.”
John Oates, renowned as one half of the iconic duo Hall & Oates, is a distinguished member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the American Songwriters Hall of Fame. His illustrious career includes the receipt of the BMI Icon Award and numerous American Music, MTV awards, and Grammy nominations. Hall & Oates have achieved unparalleled success with 21 albums, over 80 million units sold, 10 number one hits, and more than 20 Top 40 singles.
Tickets for the showcase will go on sale starting August 15, 2024. The Fuhrmann Auditorium, with its intimate setting and acoustically balanced design, offers an unparalleled listening experience for a crowd of fewer than 500. Attendees can look forward to a high-quality, up-close musical experience with limited reserved seating and an exclusive VIP Experience package, which includes food, drinks, and an opportunity to meet the artist.
John Oates continues to impact the music world through his production work, collaborations, and contributions to film soundtracks, including a recent project for the upcoming film “Gringa.”
Since launching his solo career in 1999, Oates has released seven solo albums and a bestselling autobiography, “Change of Season.” This year, he and his wife, Aimee, have partnered with NugsTV and Drive Entertainment Group to present “OATES SONG FEST 7908,” a free virtual concert benefiting FEEDINGAMERICA.ORG. The event will feature a roster of artists supporting the mission to end hunger in America, inspired by their live series at Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House.
