The New Orleans Jazz Museum, in collaboration with the Jazz Foundation of America, is pleased to present a performance by Brian Quezergue on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. CDT. The event will take place at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located at 400 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, United States.
This program will be held in the museum’s third-floor Performance Center, which serves as a listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, with seating offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Brian Quezergue, a sought-after New Orleans bassist, received his B.A. in instrumental music education from Southern University at New Orleans. He began his teaching career in the public schools of New Orleans and has been involved with Jazz Camp since its inception in 1995, initially as a student and later as the first alumni to join the camp’s faculty as the bass instructor in 2004. Currently, Mr. Quezergue is a faculty member at Audubon Charter School. He is the son of renowned New Orleans composer/arranger Wardell Quezergue and has performed a variety of music genres with notable artists such as the Wild Magnolias, Kidd Jordan, the late Alvin Batiste, Clyde Kerr Jr. and Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown.
For those who prefer to enjoy jazz music from home, the New Orleans Jazz Museum offers a daily Live-Stream Concert Series. Dynamic musicians perform live from the museum, and these performances are broadcast at 2 p.m. on Facebook Live. This provides a convenient way for jazz enthusiasts to watch the concerts for free.
