“The Global Groove” world music series makes its return to the Blue Nile Balcony Room. After a successful season that celebrated the rich sounds of Cuba, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Argentina, Haiti, Brazil, and Ethiopia, the series is back to continue its mission of showcasing diverse musical traditions from around the globe.
Last season, audiences were treated to an array of electrifying performances, from the fiery salsa beats of Muevelo & Tierra Linda to the soulful samba rhythms of Amigos de Samba and the infectious Haitian roots rock of Ram. Each show was a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity and the universal language of music.
This upcoming season promises to be even more eclectic, with an impressive lineup of DJs and musicians ready to take the stage and captivate audiences with their unique sounds. From the funky grooves of C’est Funk to the energetic performances of Muevelo, La Tran K, and Gitkin, each act offers a distinct musical journey that will transport listeners to distant lands and immerse them in a world of rhythm and melody.
