Stevie Nicks will perform at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on February 28, 2024. The 75-year-old singer had planned a show in early 2023, but it was postponed and canceled due to a COVID-19 infection among her touring group.
In 2022, Nicks drew a substantial crowd at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, marking her return to live performances after a pandemic-related hiatus. During the show, she dedicated her solo hit “Landslide” to the late Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters.
Nicks has a history with Jazz Fest, having first performed with Fleetwood Mac in 2013. In 2017, she held a solo tour performance at the Smoothie King Center and returned to the venue in 2019 with Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac was initially set to replace the Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest in 2019 but withdrew due to Nicks falling ill.
In a previous attempt to return to New Orleans in the spring, Nicks had initially postponed her show from April 2 to April 15 due to a COVID-19 infection within her band. However, it was later canceled, along with other shows in Oklahoma City and Birmingham, Alabama, due to ongoing illnesses within the band.
Stevie Nicks’ co-headlining concert with Billy Joel at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, initially scheduled for April 8, has been postponed to March 9, 2024, shortly after her performance at the Smoothie King Center, assuming all goes as planned this time.
Tickets for the upcoming New Orleans show will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. on Friday through Ticketmaster.
