St. Anna’s Church kicks off ‘Down in Treme’ music series

St. Anna’s Episcopal Church is kicking off its annual jazz concert series, “Down in Treme,” with a free concert beginning Thursday, February 10, 7–8:30 p.m., featuring the Jackson Square Allstars, a rotating group of accomplished local musicians from groups such as the Treme Brass Band, Olympia Brass Band, and the Paulin Brothers’ Brass Band.

Tickets are free to the first 200 people to sign up on the Eventbrite page. Thereafter, tickets are $25 per concert.

“Down in Treme” is a year-round Thursday concert series featuring live music and drinks at the historic church, located at 1313 Esplanade Avenue. The concert series aims to support Treme as a cultural hub for music and musicians. Money raised benefits music and cultural programs hosted by the church’s community program, Anna’s Place NOLA.

“Down in Treme” is sponsored by The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, the City Council of New Orleans, Treme Artist Collective, and Harrah’s.
